If you need to pay to fix you laptop, I would spend those money on the new Mac and forget the old one. I am sure that A26 will be made for M1 chip, so Intel Mac is already history. My laptop has been fixed since, but I prefer work on mini and as soon as Apple release new line of laptops, I did trade in my old laptop for the new with M1 Max. Important Note Customers with AMD video cards from macOS 10.15 Catalina may experience random crashes in different scenarios while working in Archicad. Archicad 22 and earlier versions will not be made compatible with macOS Big Sur. It works fine with 2 screens 4K and 5K and Twinmotion. Graphisoft maintains the compatibility of Archicad 23, 24, 25 and BIMcloud from macOS 11.3. I was expecting slow and unreliable work, but It surprise me with speed and reliability I did finish the project 1.2Gb master file with 450Mb modules. I did took the risk and bought M1 Mini 8GB Ram $699. My laptop died 2 months ago on weekend one day before deadline on one of the projects, so the only solution for me was to get new computer, I had to buy off shelf model without any added gadgets. I am suspecting that new licence manager have something to do with crush quitting Archicad but I might be wrong. I am saving and closing projects before quitting A25 on Monterey this way you don't have to deal with crush files.
